5 things from this week

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY THAT MERCURY IS IN RETROGRADE, MY FRIENDS!!!!
This week was another doozy. I was not feeling great AT ALL in the beginning of the week. Whatever bug I had was not kind to me. Yesterday, I started the day off with Pilates and it was so needed. It felt great to just move my body slowly and I’m reeeeeally happy I did that.
Oh and I’ve officially changed it to 5 things - I’m not nearly as interesting enough to discover 10 new things to love week over week.
5 things from this week
HAVE YOU HEARD OF MARINE LAYER?
Marine Layer sent me the most adorable pointelle pieces for spring and I’m already putting them to use (aka wearing the crap out of this tank and this tee). That led me to checking out their new arrivals and there are some goooooood pieces.
J.CREW NEW ARRIVALS
I love browsing new arrivals for brands. I was looking at J.Crew (thanks to the Lee Jeans collab, so nostalgic), and realized it’s one of the last seasons I worked on before I was laid off. It felt a little bittersweet — it’s always fun knowing inside information (exact color, exact fit, oh and the discount DUH) — but I loved browsing.
PILATES!!
2025 was the year I learned I loved Pilates. I was doing it almost every day and felt stronger than I did when I was an All American athlete. Unfortunately, I got into a bit of a lazy cycle (am I allowed to blame my anxiety on this?). But I’ve taken a couple classes and am SO happy to be back. My body is thanking me!!
OWALA BELIEVER NOW!!
I know Owala water bottles have been around for a bit now, but I’m just now realizing I’m missing out!! I borrowed my niece’s last weekend and I immediately ordered one. I feel like I drink more water!!
Okay, am I thaaaaat late to the game?
CURRENT READ
I read more books than I had in a while in 2025. I cannot say 2026 is off to the best start now that I don’t have a 45 minute subway commute. I’m only on my 3rd book this year. Buuuuut I am really enjoying it!
PS: Here’s my Goodreads (I’m not suuuuper active, but I do try and keep my shelves up to date!!). 2025 was a good year of reading for sure if you’re looking for recs!
